From Carbix to X-CAD

Why the next project at XyberMind is about designing the physical world.

From Carbix to X-CAD

Carbix began in 2023 with a monitor. X-CAD began in 2026 with a blank canvas. At first they look like two different companies. They are not.

Carbix taught us to read the physical world. We built an open-source energy monitor, wrote NILM algorithms that recognize appliances from their electrical signatures, and worked with a circuit breaker manufacturer to put that recognition into the panel. The lesson was simple: the physical world already has data. You just have to make it legible.

X-CAD applies the same belief to a different bottleneck. CAD is precise, but it is slow and expert-only. The gap between an idea and a part is filled with commands, constraints, and handoffs. X-CAD starts from intent instead: a sentence, a reference image, a sketch. The system handles the geometry, and the engineer stays in the loop.

Across our projects, the purpose remains the same: AI for the physical world.
